Bio:
Melissa Rogers is a graphic designer and illustrator. Her passion is to show strongly using vision and hands with my artistic expression. She has incredible creativity and art innovations more than a major concentration in graphic design. Her experiences explore and learn the variety art projects from all past semesters courses. She shows her high-confidence with her art since her childhood where she started to imagine and drew with a first pencil.
Artist Statement:
My artworks mostly showed to use the style from the 19th to 20th centuries. I was using Photoshop and Illustrator. I researched some references for art history and art elements. I choose different five styles of the art movement: Cubism, Abstract Expressionism, Pop Art, Conceptual, & Contemporary Art. I created the 19th century and a present into one topic project. Then I worked with using Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator and some editing. As a result, my artworks made me feel inspired, and I thanked what I did learn from several artists’ works. I gained knowledge and understood that the arts are valuable to me. Also, I love to express with the bold colorful rainbow that represent imperfect as freedom.
